This article is obsolete now. Please see the new article about "LAStools@linux".
LAStools@linux multicore is now available as a beta version. The data quality is checked against the current version of LAStools – we assume that the data is valid. Some arguments don´t currently work with Linux multicore, so this beta/test version was released for early adapters. There are some changes from our current Linux and Windows versions, for example:
- Compilation is done against current versions of public dependencies
- Compiling dynamics for most dependencies is done using shared objects
Libraries used:
- libpng16.so.16
- libgeotiff.so.5
- libz.so.1
- libproj.so.15
- libtiff.so.5
- libsqlite3.so.0
- libzstd.so.1
- liblzma.so.5
- libjbig.so.0
- libjpeg.so.8
To achieve this, please use the following command:
sudo apt-get install libpng-dev libtiff-dev libjpeg-dev libz-dev libproj-dev liblzma-dev libjbig-dev libzstd-dev libgeotiff-dev libwebp-dev liblzma-dev
